    Week 2

    Kansas City 23 - Tampa Bay 20

Blake Bortles showed signs why he was the #1 Pick in this year's draft. The rookie QB, after putting up a decent performance in Week 1's loss, was very good today. He threw 3 TDs, including the game winner in OT. Bortles' performance was impressive given the lack of big-time receivers on KCY's corp. The home field crowd was biting their nails as they saw Tampa Bay, led by 13-year veteran Randy Griffen, came back from 14 down to even the score during the last 10 minutes of regulation, including a recovered blocked punt which resulted in a TD. When Tampa kicked a field goal in OT, many fans were seen leaving the stadium thinking that Tampa has won the game, not realizing the new rule was in place. Those who remained got the chance of witness the highly-touted rookie, who must have drank a whole can of insecticide to kill the butterflies in his stomach, calmly led the Chiefs with a series of short/medium passes to score the winning TD in the first Overtime game this season.

    Baltimore 16 - Dallas 24

Often times impressive stats only tell part of the story, as is the case in this game. Despite logging twice as many passing yards as Dallas QB Leroy McNeil, Baltimore's Terry Carter could not stop blaming himself after throwing the game-losing interception right before the 2-minute warning. Loyal fans, however, would forgive Carter as Baltimore needed to score a TD at that point and must maintain their aggression. Both starting RBs on the two teams put up respective numbers both on the ground and in the air but concerns must be expressed over Dallas' receiving corp. Despite having two excellent WRs in Hurst and Woods (and QB McNeil is not bad either), Dallas has yet to find a way to unleash their full power this season. Will there be any change in strategy? Their opponents will find out soon.

    Arizona 31 - Buffalo 27

Arizona continued to improve since their rock-bottom 1-15 season in 2037. (4-12 in 2038 and 7-9 in 2039.) We are only 2 weeks in, but Arizona has their best starting record since 2031. They are currently leading the league in rushing yards and points per game. Rookie RB Korey Dux showed a lot of promises. As happened in almost every single season, after the game, Buffalo GM Marv got on all the TV channels to complain how the supreme higher being dealt Buffalo another bad card in yet another close game they should have won. Were it not for their TDs from interception return (not that often) and fumble return (even less often) the game might not have been close in the first place. We love you Buffalo, but our humble advice is: you may need to look for ways to better utilize QB E.J. Manual (#1 rated QB in the league) and stop rookie WR Marqise Lee (caught 2 of 10 for 60 yards, 4 of 13 in first game) from dropping the balls as frequent as your F-bombs... 8)
