Offseason and Contract Rules
2.1 - No backloading of contracts.
Other than the first to second year of a contract,
no base salary may double or more than double from one year to the next.
2.2 - Bonuses offered in a contract proposal
must remain at least 2/3 of the original requested bonus at the time the proposal is made.
This means, a $9 million requested bonus cannot by lowered below $6 million.
This rule applies to all players that request a bonus, regardless of the contract size.
2.3 - Players with less than 10 years experience seeking a contract of 3 or more years must be offered a minimum of 3 years.
2.3.1 - Players with less than 10 year experience seeking a contract of 1 or 2 years
must be offered a deal that is at least equal to the number of years requested.
2.3.2 - Players with 10 years or more, may be offered shorter contracts.
