Many People have commented over and over about how the Big Play Receiving Bar makes WRs way too important in FOF.
Now Im not saying I disagree, its a bar that has had too much impact on the game for too long, and Hopefully Jim fixes that in the new game....BUT...
Take a Look at The NFL Atlanta Falcons
Roddy White has been banged up almost all season and has missed a lot of games
Julio Jones is out for the season
and this team has fallen apart
Atlanta is now 2-7 after going 13-3 last season. You can point to other changes in the teams roster...But in My Opinion...none of those has had anything close to the impact the loss of their WRs has had.
My Point is that WRs are a big part of ANY pass Offense, The NFL is a Passing League, and FOF has mirroed this pretty well...all things considered. Now its been taken to extremes with some pretty ordinary WRs having only 1 bar thats any good making bigger impacts than they probably should...but the only alternative to that would have been to make sure that more stud WRs hit every seasons draft class.
Otherwise, we wouldnt have been even close to simulating the "Real NFL" as far as the passing game goes.
Its clear that even Good NFL QBs...need Good WRs to be effective, and the same is true of FOF QBs.
On the flip side, Andy Dalton looked Horrible in Todays game vs the Ravens, yet actually got them into Overtime on a fluke play
Having a stud WR like AJ Green didnt help him much
I guess my Point is that you need Both...one isnt THAT much more important than the other
Hopefully Jim has found a way to make that work in the new game
