    AC South Preview

    Indianapolis Colts
The Colts will once again be the class of the AC South, notching their 5th consecutive division title. Sophomore QB Kyle Lincoln will lead a high-octane offense following a solid rookie campaign. He has outstanding wideouts to assist including newly acquired Fred Fitzgerald and veteran Trevor Coleman. RB Luther Richardson is the primary ball carrier having 3 straight 1,000 yard rushing seasons. The line is rock solid featuring 3 former pro-bowlers. The defense should be more than adequate led by twin safeties Chester Watson and Eugene Cooley. OLB Phillip Mathis is a 4 time pro-bowler who can really rush the opposing QB.
    Projection: 12 - 4

    Houston Texans
The Texans brought in QB Tim Tebow for the 2034 in hopes of turning around the franchise. Houston has not had a winning record since 2029. However, Tebow had disappointing season with only 14 TDs while suffering 17 INTs. WR Mercury Stokes and Howard Hutek provide a nice pair of targets. Speedster Stokes had an outstanding rookie season with 90 catches for 1,170 yards. The run game appears average at best. On the defensive side of the ball, DE Marcell Dareus is a perennial pro-bowler while CB Rod Torres patrols the secondary. We project Houston to finish 2nd, but they have too many holes and will struggle to have a .500 season.
    Projection: 7 – 9

    Tennessee Titans
The Titan offense will feature RB Clay Ford who possesses a nice combination of speed and power. Ford, not your run-of-the-mill Model-T, gained 1,120 yards as a rookie for a solid 4.77 average/carry. QB Kelly Brandon is a promising rookie QB but will no doubt experience growing pains during the 2035 season. The Tennessee defense was effective stuffing the run last year, but was very porous vs. the pass. The defense needs some retooling before the Titans will become a championship caliber team.
    Projection: 6 – 10

    Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jags are an extremely young team with 12 starters having 3 or less years of experience, including 3 rookies in the defensive backfield. We would anticipate Jacksonville will have issues moving the ball with the only stars being RB Julio Carlson and TE Jessie Kaeding. The defense has tremendous upside, but their youth will likely hold back their effectiveness this year. OLB Lee Von Wyss appears to have superstar potential after more seasoning.
    Projection: 5 – 11

I’m sure even Howard will agree, when the party’s over, the Colts will prevail.
