Two Carolina Panthers called it quits during the offseason.
RG Richie Haayer - A 6th round selection of the 2017 draft, Richie Haayer started 103 of 149 games for the Panthers during his 11 year tenure in Carolina. He endured ups and downs during his career struggling with sacks in some seasons while dominating in others. He finishes out his career with a 36.7 Blocking Percentage, 20 pancake blocks, and 37 sacks allowed.
SE Eddie Royal - The 29th pick of the 2015 first round, Eddie Royal started his career in Atlanta playing for the Falcons. He was dealt to the Vikings in 2019 after four seasons in Atlanta. His 4 years as a Falcon yielded only one 1000+ yard season, but 34 TDs. Clearly, his value in Atlanta was as a scoring threat, instead of moving the chains. Minnesota sent 2019 picks (1.28, 2.9, 4.11, and 6.9) plus SE Shawn Hartman to Atlanta in exchange for Royal. Royal was looked to as a primary receiver in Minnesota, but the Vikings became less than pleased with the initial results as he failed to eclipse the 1000 yard mark and only scored 12 TDs in his three seasons in the Land of 1000 Lakes.
Enter the Panthers during the 2022 off season. We needed a threat at wide receiver in a big way. Barrett had nobody to throw the ball to that put any fear into the opposition. We ended up sending DE Shannon Darrow, WR Gino Moser, and our 2024 5th for Royal and DE Tim Crowder. Really what the trade ended up being was Royal for Darrow as Crowder retired at the end of 2022. Some said that Royal had always been a decent #2 receiver, but would never live up to being a true #1. After playing for the Panthers over 6 seasons though, Royal quieted the critics and turned in 5 seasons of 1100+ yards and 50 TDs.

2.9 - SE Jamie Marx - Still with the Falcons, currently amassed 4000+ yards and 26 TDs through 2026.
4.11 - RG Gabe Russell - Currently with the Steelers.

SE Shawn Hartman was drafted in 2016 by Minnesota and retired in 2021 a Falcon. He amassed 3000+ yards and 12 TDs over his 6 year career.
DE Shannon Darrow - amassed 15 sacks in the final 5 seasons of his career, only one of which was in Minnesota.
FL Gino Moser - Currently with the Broncos.
