Re: Buffalo Bills
2029 Buffalo Bills

2028 Review:
The Bills’ 2028 season can be summed up in one phrase, “consistently inconsistent.” The team was never able to manage more than a two game winning streak, while also never managing more than a two game losing skid. They finished the season 8-8, good for 3rd place in the AFC East.
In 2028, Buffalo came into the season hoping for that special breakout season from Phillip Rotzell. Although, Rotzell has had some decent seasons in the past, the Bills’ faithful were waiting for him to launch them into the playoffs and make them legitimate contenders. Few quarterbacks have entered the league with as much hype surrounding him than Rotzell, and until he can steadily produce a winning record, the Bills will continually wonder whether he was worth the 1st overall pick in 2020. His last winning season was in 2023, and he has yet to beat the hated division rival, New England Patriots.
Looking to 2029:
However, there are things to look forward to in the upcoming season. Despite dismal fan support, the Bills were excellent at home this past season, going 6-2. If they can continue with their home success and improve on the road, then they have a decent chance to make a run at the playoffs. However, that road will be tough considering the top two highest rated rosters (on paper) are sitting in their division.
Regardless, they do have a slew of young players eager to establish a winning tradition in Buffalo. Linebackers Donald Yeager and Eli Wolflick are entering their prime and will make things difficult for opposing offenses. With 2nd year stud Brady DeAngelis lurking in the free safety position, the defense hopes to prove that they can create turnovers and create opportunities for Phillip Rotzell’s natural skills. Other young defenders looking to step up their game are defensive lineman Jurrell Casey and DaQuan Bowers.
On the offensive side of the ball, wide receivers Reggie Michael and Lonnie Fafinski have put in the time during the offseason with Rotzell to become more comfortable with this offense. They look to prove that they are capable starters and hope to be reliable targets for Rotzell for the foreseeable future. And finally, Ryan Williams will once again be looked to grab the tough yards behind the team’s stellar offensive linemen while providing the chance to break one loose at any moment. It's not an easy task to take over for the Bills all-time leading rusher, Blasingame, but Williams hopes to carve out his own history with the Bills.
Predictions for 2029:
Buffalo has the foundation being built around Phillip Rotzell to have a chance of making the playoffs in 2029. They have a solid offensive line and good/reliable running back, but the team is lacking some big name playmakers at the skill positions to help maintain a consistently dominate offense. They also have some key pieces on defense to make some plays and stop opposing offenses.
This team will likely face another mediocre, not great type of season. With the Jets or Patriots likely to earn the division title, the Bills will have to hope for a wild card berth at best. My guess for their season record = 7 to 10 wins
