    2013 Preview

As the 2013 season approachs, the Buffalo Bills are a team in transition. They don't have the talent to compete in the AFC let alone their division and their best players are aging. The team has acquired 4 1st round picks in the 2014 draft, so the future looks very bright. For the time being this team will struggle.

To compound the potential woes facing the Bills, a preseason mishap by their respected GM Marv led to 34 players changing positions and losing ratings value. The costly mistake has left the Bills with a Preseason Power Rating of 1.

    Offense

The offensive unit will continue to be lead by QB Drew Henson who had a career high last season with 27 TD passes and also passed for over 3500 yards.

The unit lost RB Derek Hewitt to division rival Miami. The loss of Hewitt is not one that will hurt the Bills as much as some may think. He is just a shell of the player who once rushed for 2200 yards in one season. The Bills will have a committee of backs competing for the starting nod. Look for rookie Beardslee to see a bulk of the carries.

At the receiver position Brad Smith is Henson's favorite target. He had over 800 yards receiving and 8 TD's last season. He is a young receiver who puts up great numbers, but he will see a lot of double coverage this season as he is the only real threat in the passing game. The cohesion of the line will be interesting to track because this is where many of the position changes took place.

    Defense

On the defensive side of the ball the obvious strength of this unit is the Defensive Line. Dockett and Clemens, who anchor the line, could prove to be good trade bait to contenders before the trade deadline. One rookie that stands out on this defense is SS Lincoln Page. He hopes to help a team that was one of the worst in the league at defending the pass. The 2nd round selection shows a lot of promise on a defense that lacks playmakers. Linebacker is an area that will need to be addressed in the near future for the Bills. There are many players signed, but few that will contribute to making this team competitive.

    Special Teams

The player that could be the MVP of this team is P Reggie Hodges. He will definitely be busy. The Bills have a couple of Kickers on their roster, but look for rookie Wallace to get the nod. The return game is also mediocre with WR's Smith and Hampton sharing the Kick return duties and Hampton taking over the punt return job.

    Prediction

With 4 1st Round picks in 2014, the future is bright for the Bills, but this season will be a struggle in the tough AFC East. Marv's mistake cost the team some points as far as ratings go, but this team would have struggled regardless. Henson will lead this team to a couple of vitories, but overall the team will stumble to a 2-14 finish and end up with the #1 pick in the draft.

Since the Big 2013 Blunder by management which led to many of players ratings be ruined...

The Bills have been in a rebuilding stage the last 2 seasons...With many of high 1st round picks...
The Bills draft Defense Hard in 2014 drafting
      DT R.Cochrane 1.3 followed by 2014 DROY. MLB-Cory Cochrane.
The Bills continued with defense drafting CB-RJ Terry 1.8 and DT Kinsela 1.13. We closed the 2014 1st round with WR- Colin Sanez 1.21 2nd round pick RB Percy Hildreth had a nice rookie year considering the talent of the OL. But he declined in just 1 season ..

2015 draft The Bills were in the 10 with 2 picks This was supposed to be the draft class we were going to go Offense.. But The Chumps in NE and the Sissy's of the MidWay drafting Flacco and McFadden..
We just weren't comfortable pulling the trigger on QB-Brohm , RB-Stewart or RB-Jones We said **** it!!
      Lets go Defense again..

We draft DE-Long 1.4 and MLB Lofton 1.5

We are are going to have a mean and nasty Def. Just watch...Alot of their names were called in week 1 against Miami

The 2016 Buffalo Bills look dominating on paper with the likes of DE- Long...DT Kinsella, DT Cochrane, LB Cochrane, LB Lofton, CB Rj Terry. We make it even better by adding LB Timmons and S Dexter from the Indianapolis Colts. Also from the Indianapolis Colts we add QB Roethlisberger who was traded to Indy via the NYJ. Roethlisberger brings a career 38,944 yards, 254 TD, and 134 INT. He also brings a very very nice 90.0 QB rating and 5 4,000 Y seasons.

The Bills have been hit hard in pre-season with injury, putting their Super Bowl bid in jeopardy. T Kaczur and T Summers both out for the year.
WR Saenez, DT Kinsella, LB Timmons are out for 2 weeks. Along with a few Backup players

After Beastmodes big pay day he decides to crap the bed on us after camp, declining 6 points. *******. :wall:

The offense should improve regardless, with the like of Roethlisberger at the helm, Saenez two week absense might make the first two weeks rough. But prediction Buffalo wins the East. Most likely 10-6 or 11-5. **** the rest of the East..you guys suck anyway. :loser:

          2016 Preview

One division opponent brings in top notch QB, and Buffalo does the same. They acquired Big Ben (Rothlisberger) to lead this team back to the playoffs. RB Marshawn Lynch is coming off a big year. He leads a strong running attack. WR Colin Saenz leads a group of underrated WR’s. The offensive line is the teams true strength. The defense might have the best front seven in the league. DE Chris Long leads a group in were 3 of the 4 starting Defense lineman could make the pro bowl. LB Lawrence Timmons leads a very good LB Corps. Don’t rule out CB RJ Terry and FS Dexter Rickard. They are young guys that lead a solid secondary.

2017 Preview (as written by GMWashington)

            Buffalo

Key Additions: RT Casher (55/55), RG Fortier (54/54), C Hansen (52/52), RB Hairston (50/50), RDE O'Brien (44/44), 2nd round draft picks Barrere (28/54) and Grisso (19/51)

Key Losses: MLB Cochrane (62/62), LDT Kinsella (80/80), RG Summers (65/65), C Portillo (45/45), RT Winslett (54/54), LDE Humphries (44/44)

2016 Review: Buffalo finished last year at 9-7 behind Division Winner New Jersey (13-3) and Wild Card New England (11-5).

Key Fact: Buffalo currently has only seven draft picks in the next two years - none in the first two rounds!

Overview: Buffalo is an older team with a closing window of opportunity in a division with two strong play-off contenders. QB Ben Roethlisberger is entering the twilight of his career and is coming off a very lackluster season.

Offense: On offense, Buffalo is a team in transition and a real question mark - will Roethlisberger bounce back or was last year the beginning of the end for him? Additionally, how will all the new pieces on offense mesh together? The Kinsella trade brought in 3 new starters on the offensive line and it looks like rookies will be starting at TE and SE.

On paper, the offense should perform better than it did last year. Roethlisberger looks to have something left in the tank and Marshawn Lynch should be able to take some of the pressure off of Roethlisberger. Youngster Saenz had a break-through year last year (1,051 yards receiving) and it is hoped that rookie SE Barrere will step up.

The offense was in the bottom half of the league last year and really needs to improve for this team to have a shot at the play-offs.

Defense: The defense, even with the loss of Cochrane and Kinsella, has a lot of young pro-bowl caliber talent and should remain above average if not better. It looks like Buffalo will switch to a 4-3 defense which should allow MLB Timmons to shine. DE Chris Long, OLB Curtis Lofton and CB RJ Terry all will be hoping to be heading to Hawaii after the season.

The defense is the strength of the team and most likely will continue to be.

Projection: Buffalo most likely treads water this year, however a favorable schedule could allow them to improve by a game or two and obtain a wild card spot. Their margin for error will be small and they will have to beat the teams they are supposed to. Buffalo will need Roethlisberger to bounce back a bit - further erosion of his skills will likely mean that Buffalo would be faced with the prospect of rebuilding next year.

            Prediction: 9-7

              5 yrs of ****

Gone after 5yrs as Buffalo's HC is Ralph O'Neil. In his 9 total years as a HC in the FFL 4 previously with The Vikings. Ralph O'Neil has a 67-84-1 record The 5 he spent in Buffalo O'Neil went 31-50-1.

In 2015 he lead the Bills to a 10-6 season and a Divisional title in a mediocore AFC East at the time. New England was still finding their way. Miami and Jets were up and down But after two seasons without making the post season. Bills fans and management were happy with the results. It came with a post season birth a WC win over Indianapolis 20-14 followed by a Divisonal rd lose to The Cleveland Browns 35-28. So the future looked bright.

2016 Bills fell to 9-7 they started the year 0-3 and had dug themselves a big hole. Wasn't the end of the world yet . Wins against Cleveland in week 4 and Miami in week 5 left the Bills season with a glimour of hope. and they go 3-5 after week 8. O'Neil gets the team turned around in the 2nd half of the season with a 6-2 recored and 2 straight wins to close the year out. But it was a little too late as a key lose as a 10-3 loss to NewEngland in week 10 proved to be the nail in the coffin. Bills would have had the tie breakers againts the Pats should Buffalo had won.

2017 was a blunder from the get go. Bills dropped off the face of the FFL And we witness the rise of a Patriots juggernott. We finish 2-13-1. The worst record in franchise history. The loss of Ben Roethlisberger for 6 games and numerous other starters throughout the season just made 2017 a cluster **** of a season one to not be remembered..Management considered a change but in fairness to the injuries we felt the coach should be allowed to stay. This also led the Bills to make so crazy off season moves to follow...

2018 The Bills trade away LB-Curtis Lofton to ARZ arguably the BEST LB in the game,LB Lawernce Timmons to GB another great LB and Ben Roethlisberger to CLE. So with a set of new draft picks to rebuild with Ralph O'Neil gets a pass for 2018 Bills finish 8-8 but this teams inability to win divisonal games proved to be their downfall. But a little continuity with the staff and the team should go along way in 2019..

2019 The Bills under Ralph O'Neil have what is now their worst season in franchise history just 2 seasons removed. A 1-15 mark and the continuity thing just went out the window. Management FINALLY decides to pull the plug on the entire scouting and coaching staff.

2020 The Bills management has taken off the beer goggles. Finished, over, gone, kapoot is their love affair with the old staff. HC-Ralph O'Neil,OC-Jessie Watkins HS-Xavier Stanton. Watkins aint exactly old staff. But his first year was his last. Management decided to keep DC-Tom Pietraszak. So I guess you can say we are seeing things 20/20 now I know corney.

The staff for the Buffalo Bills and one we hope can lead this team back from the cellar are 1st time HC 63 yr old Toby Hansen, Quinn Castillo and Lead Scout ,Albert Becker. Toby has a VG rep with QB's and Ex with the WR's a combination we feel will help this corps of WR's and QB-Ryan gel. He also brings Excellent motivation a Good D caller and Good Off caller.
Quinn Castillo will be the new OC a 1st time gig for him aswell. We fell his V Rep with the OL and the QB will gel nicely with Coach Hansens style.
Scout Albert Becker is just a solid scout straight down the line. His ability for scouting LB's is less then to be desired but ya take the good with the bad. We did how ever retain the services of DC-Tom Pietraszak. His relationship with vetrans like DE-Long,DT Cochrane,S-Richards was an important factor in him staying onboard.

So here comes 20/20 and the Bills are on the clock what will this staff find for us in FA,draft,trades... we can only hope their seeing perfectly clear and do what needs to be done..

                2022 Preview

I’m happy to present Marv’s 2022 team preview. I wouldn’t want to do anyone else’s. And of course, it's all in good nature.

Last season, Buffalo finally appeared to turn the corner on their annual rebuilding effort in going from 6-10 in 2020 to 10-6. This was largely based on the offense finally being able to move the ball down the field with 2nd year QB Rozell, a slew of offensive weapons, and an offensive line that finally seemed to work together. Of course, they needed those weapons to make up for a defense that ranked last in passing. This glaring weakness was especially evident in the finale against NE when they gave up 45 points and blew any playoff hopes.

In the offseason, the Bills quickly made a big splash by acquiring LB Laurinaitis, but didn’t do much otherwise and didn’t sign any FA’s, other than a few undraftees. While Laurinaitis is considered a great tackler, he only has 5.5 career sacks and 1 career INT, so his impact in the passing game is not considered dynamic. Perhaps you may think the Bills would address their more pressing needs in the draft, but years of mortgaging the future away for perceived short term winners has taken its toll on the bills draft war chest as well, so there was limited potential help available there either. (Don’t look for much help there next year either, as they have just a 4, 5, & 7) They did burn more of the future away to move up to 2-2 and with guys like S Mays & CB Jackson available, you could understand the move, since they would be an immediate upgrade to a glaring need. So of course, the Bills promptly used the pick on LB Sean Lee. In their defense though, Lee is a good player and should immediately start, although where remains to be seen. The bills did finally get a DB in the 3rd with Jerome Murphy, who probably will be forced to start from day 1.

While the offense will put up many highlight reels with Rozell and his deep receiving core, and the defense will be on many highlight reels, you certainly have to talk about the special teams in Buffalo, which may actually be their best hope at keeping teams under 30 or 40. P Thomas averaged 50 yards a kick last year and K Mehlhaff was 28 of 32 in FG’s, while consistently crushing balls into the endzone.

So, with limited offseason activity, this season should be more of the same with a ton points for all to have. The offense is again loaded and the defense should well… hopefully be able to stop the run… which at the very least, probably guarantees 2 wins against Miami. All in all, a repeat of last year’s 10-6 would be a great season, but it could just as easily end up 7-9.

                    Re: Buffalo Bills

The Bills have decided to release Head Coach Toby Hans .Hans has taken the Bills to the post season 2 of his past 4 seasons at the helm. He racked up a 36-31 recored. 1-2 in the post season. Toby has had a a winning season 3 of 4 season. But we felt we needed a change and that he took this team as far as he could. We are greatful for his contribution to the organization. We saw an oppertunity to hire Morris Mueller. Mueller is an inexperieced Head Coach at this level. His colleage career is steeler. Winning 6 National Championships with The UB Bulls. Plus it was cheaper to drive him into Orchard Park being just up the road then flying in Tracy Borders from California. And he was cheaper then Borders.
So we are please to welcome new Bills Head Coach Morris Mueller

                      2024 Season Preview
                      (by Mike17)

The Bills have been so close, but not quite there, as far as making it to the big game the last few seasons. They have been consistently over .500 the last three seasons, and made their deepest recent run in the playoffs last year, getting to the divisional round. After a quick glance at the team's history, it appears the Bills have never made it past the divisional round going back to 2004. Gm Marv has high hopes that this will be the year the Bills break that glass ceiling, and new head coach Tom Pietraszak tends to agree.

                      Draft and FAs
The Bills were very quiet in free agency this year. They added only 2 experienced players and a smattering of undrafteds. 7th year Split End Clyde Devault will likely be used only on punt returns, and 3rd year DE Austin Lane will be fighting with Doug Worthington over the starting LDE job.

The Bills were without a 1st round pick this year, but they appear to have had a good draft anyway. Here's a look at the Buffalo class of 2024:

                      2.3 OLB Tommy Wyden 31/57
                      3.24 OLB Jackie Stargell 28/41
                      4.4 DT D.J. Dole 34/42
                      4.26 S Kendrick Green 22/51
                      6.24 OLB Jack Marsh 25/49

The Bills recognized that they didn't need much help in their high-powered offense, and looked to bolster the defense with young talent this year. The young linebacker class looks excellent, and the Bills should be set at that position for the forseeable future. Dean Dole may end up starting opposite Everett Kinsella this year, and Kendrick Green looks like he has the starting Free Safety job locked up as well. The Bills had a great draft considering the picks they had to work with, and filled many of the biggest needs the team had.

                      Offense
The Bills were Top 5 in passing offense in nearly every passing statistic last year, and in 2024, it should be more of the same. Buffalo returns the great Phillip Rotzell at Qb, and although he lost the great Earnest Schepis to Philly, Rotzell still has some great targets in vets James Hardy and Irv Buckner. Kendall Carswell also provides an excellent third option from the TE position. Passing is the Bills' strong suit, but Gabe Blasingame and Marshall Quaccia will do a great job keeping defenses honest on the ground.

The middle of the Buffalo line is stacked. Jorge Lynn is a beast at Center, and he'll be flanked by two great Guards, J.C. Iafrate and Louis Vasquez. The Bills' tackles are not the best, but both starters return from last season, and overall the Line should be a very cohesive group.

                      Defense
The Bills were middle of the pack against the run last year, and in the bottom third against the pass. The only free agent addition to the defense was DE Austin Cane who is an average player. The Bills added all defensive players in the draft this year, so the defense should be more talented but less experienced.

The D-Line returns some excellent vets in DE Chris Long and DT Everett Kinsella. The other two starters will be average at best, although they have equally talented backups. The Linebackers look to be the strong suit of the defensive front, with two really great MLBs in James Laurinaitis and Sean Lee. The new draftees this year look very good as well with 2nd rounder Tommy Wyden leading the pack. The talent at Linebacker makes analysts wonder if we'll see a switch to the 3-4 scheme from the Bills this year.

Looking into the secondary, this appears to be the glaring weakness of the Buffalo team. The cornerbacks are not too bad, although they seem to be Man-to-Man coverage specialists mostly. Safety is where the Bills could really get burnt by teams who like to throw deep. None of the safeties on the roster can play zone defense with any proficiency, and 3 of the 4 safeties on the roster are rookies. This doesn't inspire much confidence that the corners have any help over the top.

                      Predictions
The Bills' season rests in their ability to out-score teams this year. Their pass offense is extraordinarily good, and their pass defense is equally as bad. The run offense should do fairly well with the passing game opening up run lanes, and the run defense should be pretty good as well with most teams trying to beat the Bills through the air. Expect every Buffalo game to be a high scoring heavy passing affair from both teams.

My prediction is that more often than not, the Bills will win the game of "who can out pass who." Their Pass Offense is just too good. But I think their lack of balance on the defense will keep them from going deep into the postseason. Bills this year: 11-5 and make it to the divisional round again.

Very dissapointed in after training camp ratings especially on Sebek after the switch l26/69 before traning camp oh well he still is the 3rd highest rating CB in this years draft

                        2.8 FS-Darrin Sebek switched to LCB 25/65 [22/56]

                            Re: Buffalo Bills

The Bills organization says farewell to one it's long time and most loved players, #33 RB- Gabe Blasingame. Gabe was a late 2nd round pick getting selected by Buffalo with the 59th pick in the 2020 draft. Gabe's dashing breakaway speed, magician like elusiveness, brisk speed to the outside, and Rob McCutcheon like endurance were the attractors to us taking him.Gabe played all 9 seasons in Buffalo. Holding all the Bills rushing titles.

                            1st in
                            Rushing Attempts 1728
                            Rushing Yards 7837
                            Yards per Carry 4.54
                            Rushing Touchdowns 55 and 11receiving
                            100 yard rushing games 19
                            Yards from scrimmage 10,243

Now these may not be FOF Hall Fame Numbers. But he was an All-Pro in Buffalo
A few of Gabe's high lite games
Gabe's rookie year was avg at best but his best performances came against Arizona week 2( 26-143 2Td's 5.5 ydc and Kansas City week 10(20-135 yards 6.75 ydc.
Against Carolina week 2 in 2021 his sophomore year he ran 22-163 7.41 ydc.
A surprise outting against New England week 11. We obviously were losing and did lose. But he ran 6 times for 128 yards and TD. 21.33 ydc. in 2024.
                            23 -159 and a TD 6.91 ydc against Baltimore 2025.
and his only 3 TD game in a shoot out lose to week 3 Pittsburgh 2027
