  • Injuries in pre-season

Any chance we could turn these off for pre-season please, losing your stud QB, WR or HB before the season even starts is just zero fun for anyway?

    thoughts?

I'm all for that. Some will at least turn off injuries for weeks 1 and 2.

It depends on how much realism you want out of a game? I really do not care

We already turn them off for 1 & 2. After that, what the difference with a week 3 - 5 preseason injury versus a early regular season injury? Should we just turn them off all-together?

It means we all start week 1 injury free like a lot of leagues do. Having studs go down in pre-season after you spent all off season getting your team ready just kills enjoyment. I guess putting a vote up would get a good consensus to what the league thinks?

As a tip, I play my starters in PS1/PS2, which is normally enough to avoid rust in regular season game 1. Then, the remainder of pre-season, make inactive 14 players who are stars and good players. Most teams don't have more than 14 stars/good players. I play rookies for development.

It's also a nice bonus to get an affinity guy injured, put him on IR and gain a roster spot.

Though everyone hates seeing a star (or a star rookie) lost during pre-season, there is an aspect of strategy in preparing to have a solidish back-up in the wings so the drop-off isn't too precipitous. Don't get me wrong, I'd be more than happy to have no injuries in preseason games.
