  • How are your rookies looking?

I appreciate it's not PS2 yet but it's always good to hear what people's initial view of the players they drafted is.

From a Dolphins point of view i had a good draft ( let's hope i did not just jinx myself) Whittaker the WR i took at 1.4 looks very good but then at 1.4 he should do. Brunnel my HB taken at 2.2 looks decent as well as a couple of others.

QB Mangum taken by the Colts at 1.1 looks very good but has a lot of developing to do
WR Stevens taken by the Redskins looks like a god
QB Kearns taken by the Steelers at 1.3 looks better than Mangum at this point
QBs Riley and Kemp taken at 1.4 and 1.5 by the Eagles and Saints look like PS2 will be very big for them
LB Celeelak taken by the Jags looks at this stage like one of the highest rated players in the league already!
WR Crouse taken at 1.8 by the Chiefs is looking very good as well
DE Weaver looks very solid at 1.9 for the Seahawks
HB Thornton looks good as well taken at 1.10 by the Bengals.

Last draft, the Jets fortified our trenches on both the o-line and d-line. This draft, we focused on the defensive backfield, going in that direction with our top 2 picks.

S Zachary Hill – Hill will start day one and should be able to defend the run as well as the pass. Assuming he does not bust, we are very pleased to land a 70 rated player at the bottom of round 1.

CB Kai Andrews – He is penciled in as the starting RCB. Good vs. the pass and can provide great run support. We are preparing for the day when the Patriots unleash their run game.

OT Jace Raymond – The LT spot his Raymond’s to lose. My one concern is starting a rookie and 2nd year player at both tackles. Hopefully the run game will continue to be productive.

DE Gage Tate – Tate will probably not see much action this season, but he does look like starter material in a couple of years. His ideal position is DE and he will be position changed before camp.

RB Matt Ellsworth – Ellsworth will compete for the backup RB spot behind stud Ronald Gillam. He could be very effective with the hole rec and speed bars combination.

I like our rookie class, 3 starters in year 1 and another probable starting player in the future.

On a side note, it's obvious that Higg's kok and Cryil's johnson both have outstanding endurance.

If he got to the Pro bowl with The Cardinals Ken Small, Ravens, Colton Fairley and the Colts Conner Cumming and they were in a line together you'd get "Fairley Small Cumming Kok"

such importance is the only thing my wife and I both agree on.

Draft looks good. 5 potential starters and Kearns looks like he might be the best in a strong QB class.
