    Overview

Drew Bachman laughed off speculation that is job was in trouble after not being extended and with Good Reason... Bachman has been to the playoffs 10 years straight, and at the age of 65 still knows how to get a team ready over the 16 game season grind. The bar his high for this years team after getting bounced in the Divisional playoff game twice. The GIANTS are looking to reload..

The 2054 Giants were led by the strong performances of MLB Nicholas Dresselhaus and TE Henry Hunter and finished the year at 12-4.
The Giants 12-4 record was enough to tie the Dallas Cowboys for first in the NFC East as the wildcard. THis required for them to go on the road where they disposed of the Arizona Cardinals 27-13 but ran into tough Tampa Bay Buccaneers team 13-26.

Giants fans expect a bit better.

    Coaching

Drew Bachman starts his 14th year at the helm with 10 successive playoff appearances. Bachman and Offensive Coordinator CJ Spiller have formed a formidable tandem, coming up ways with ways for making more with less. .

On the defensive side, Defensive Coordinator Ricardo Clayton will lead the defensive unit.

    The Good

Giants were ranked 20th... Yes 20th in running the pigskin and 23rd in passing.. Giants QB Greg Fields is an idol in the New York area, but the media felt that they did not see enough big plays from the 13 year veteran.

The G-Men defense was great against the run Ranking 4th in rushing. but 25th against the pass.

Changes were needed if the Giants were to continue to print playoff tickets..

    Additions

Dennis Everett QB from the 49ers was brought in to challenge Greg Fields for the starting QB spot along with 2052 2nd round pick Roy Thomason.

Eduardo Zarate WR was brought in to provide additional depth to Randy Glover and Frank Garrett. If he can repeat his 15 ypc, this should stretch the defense a bit

John Ewiak DT replaces the rotating defensive line men who started at RDT

Jeffrey Paine was brought from the Raiders to sure up the defense Linebacking unit.. It is expected that he will move inside to replace
    MLB Dresselhaus .

    Subtractions

MLB Nicholas Dresselhaus - Signed with the Buffalo Bills in the off season after the Giants were unable to meet his demands. Dresselhaus has been a force over the 10 years and will be missed.

    Draft Rating
Giants Scouting may have paid off as they Draft Review gave them a rating of A+

No Green Page players so the strength must have been in the later rounds.

    Rookies

    1-27 Renaldo Shea - WR
    School: Notre Dame
    Height: 5’11” (Below Average)
Weight: 193 lbs (Way Below Average)

Ronaldo Shea was brought in to bolster the receiving corps. He run a 4.44, with the ability to make plays over the middle. Not the big physical receiver the Giants are used to but a guy that makes plays in between the hash marks.

    Rated - Good

    2-27 Zack D'Eramo - OLB
    School: Texas A&M
    Height: 6' 4" (Above Average)
Weight: 262 lbs. (Way Above Average)

D’Eramo is a big hitting linebacker who does a good job against the run. He is under consideration for the middle linebacker position due to his lack on instincts for playing zone.

    Rated - Good

    3-27 Tony Kuykendall - FB
    School: Hawaii
    Height: 6' 0" (Average)
    Weight: 240 lbs. (Below Average)

Kuykendall from is a power running full back with improving blocking skills. With Joe Williamson showing some age, Kuykendall is the heir apparent.

    Rated - Good

    4-27 Cornell Damon - ILB
    School: Utah
    Height: 6' 0" (Below Average)
Weight: 229 lbs. (Way Below Average)

Damon is expected to compete for the vacant ILB position. Damon has a high motor and plays well against the run.

    Rated - Average

    5-27 Jameson Horton - ILB
    School: Baylor
Height: 5' 10" (Way Below Average)
    Weight: 236 lbs. (Below Average)

Horton pass rushers from the middle, may be switched to the OLB position. With 3 new LBs, playing time will b distributed based on best available.

    Rated - Average

    6-27 Ernie Antonio - DE
    School: Southern California
    Height: 6' 6" (Above Average)
    Weight: 293 lbs. (Above Average)

Antonio is a rangy lineman with a good eye for the ball. His high motor will allow him to take a high level of snaps and his height should shutdown passing problems.

    Rated - Average

    7-25 Bryant Anderson - DT
    School: Arizona
    Height: 6' 4" (Above Average)
Weight: 331 lbs. (Way Above Average

Anderson is a tough guy to miss at 331 lbs and 6’4”. He is a bit of a project for the DT position.
